Fashion’s more is more philosophy isn’t taking a back seat given some of the breathtaking looks at London Fashion Week. The recently concluded London Fashion Week was special for many reasons, it was home coming for Posh who showcased in London after many years and also has she completed a decade in Fashion and the designer Riccardo debuted at Burberry.
“Few highlights of London Fashion week”
Designer Michael Halpern as always, entrenched his designs as groovy and sassy disco outings and on go to evening clothing inspiring from the 70’s and 80’s era but with some high voltage color clashing. There were of course Halperns signatures like halter minis, holographics and metallic pants but he proved he is also winner when it comes to no shine color clash.

Layering like a pro!
As Victoria Beckham celebrated her 10th anniversary in fashion, Posh proved herself as a pro at layering and teaming her dresses with pants, a nod to 90’s fashion. The opening look was a tailored white pantsuit wore with a lace trimmed satin camisole. The long and lean midi length dresses with handkerchief hems had a strong current. The real winners were the jackets and trench coats which help you make the seamless day to night transition.
The Chic girl!
Alexa Chung, whose line titled Arrivals and departures was a reflection of her own personal style. The opening look was cape trenched teamed with a printed head scarf followed by a dungaree paired with striped shirt. She also showcased denim separates, tailored pantsuits and glittery party dress which had an AC stamp. The printed halter dress with Alexa’s name printed all over stood out.
The sequence king!
Always known to pepper his pieces with cheeky messages, this time too, Ashish took a dig at the dating scenes with words like ‘send nudes’ emblazoned across the sweatshirts. The show opened with an itsy bitsy sparkly slip followed by sheer and shine on jumpers, play suits and dresses. A sequinned bikini teamed with a shiny trench coat and a closing white and sheer dress with asymmetrical hems also water drenched ended the show with bomb.
Many designers narrated their story in their outfits with the transformative power of exuberant ruffles. Designer Richard Quinn, the biggest talking point of this season expressed his love for the artisian florals by presenting them in tiered ruffled. Ruffles were also main staged at Molly Goddard creations and many designers scaling them to dramatic effects.
